Inspired and encouraged by the success of the first two serial events, the Third International Symposium on Scientific and Legal Aspects of the Regimes of the Continental Shelf and the Area is to be held on 22-23 November 2012 in Beijing, China. The Symposium will be co-organized by China Institute for Marine Affairs (CIMA) and the Second Institute of Oceanography (SIO), and sponsored by the State Oceanic Administration of China (SOA) and the China Ocean Mineral Resources Research and Development Association (COMRA).
